Profile: This would be a brief description of about 4-5 lines. This is like an attractive ribbon over a wrapped gift. So this has to be a very interesting piece of information.
The sentences should be positive telling about your objective, your professional skills in the job and your professional achievements. Make sure you also include those attributes which the employer is looking for.

If you are writing a Marketing CV it can be something like
With a 10 yr marketing experience I am now looking to apply my expertise from the field to a better position with good marketing methodologies. With a strong background on direct response and marketing strategies have been successful in creating brand awareness through direct marketing thereby contributing directly to the revenue growth of the company.

Achievements: Writing your professional achievements and professional skills together. Writing them down in bullet points for your professional achievements. In short this should be a brief summary of the job you were doing at your recent employer. Also include job responsibilities which would be useful for the job you are applying for.

Headings like Management, Journalism, Publishing, Designing and Editing can be used.

Qualifications/ Educational Details: Learn how to write a CV with all your educational details. It is not very important to include your 12th grade details. Personal Details: Add your name (as you want it to appear), your telephone number, if possible mobile number, email address and in case you have a clean driving licence do mention it. Include your date of birth and your marital status also.

Interests: This part should be short and to the point. Writing down your interests which is of importance to the type of job you are applying for. These can again be job specific.
For eg: Managing extra curricular activities for Old age homes, trainer for yoga classes, researching for new breakthroughs in the business and economy division.
For eg: Researching scientific studies done on various projects, freelance work on designing page layouts for corporate brochures.


A.3. Layout

How do I choose a layout for my CV?
You may always think which layout would look the best to make your CV presentable.
 
Different layouts can be chosen for best fit of your content. See that you choose a layout which will give you an opportunity of displaying most of your content details and which appears neat and good. Name can be put as the top heading in the centre or at the left corner as per your layout. Remember to put in Full name or the name you would want to be known as.


A.4. CV Content

a. Appearance
  The appearance of the CV is as important as how well you dress up. The content layout should be neat, presentable and should impress the recruiter. The text shouldn’t be too much scrambled up.

Words: You need to be very choosy about the words in your CV while writing. Do not use negative words like avoided, unsuccessful, lost or tried. Use words which will enhance your CV. You may not be good at it, but can definitely use synonyms to make it sound different. Some positive words which can be used are completed, headed, organized, developed, guided, conducted, initiated and many other similar words.

Language: Language used for writing should be simple english that can let the employer know what you want to present from your CV. You need not be an editor or a writer to write a good language. This again depends on your educational background and experience. If you are from a technical background or a software background your language will involve lots of technical words or abbreviations.
